G2 BUS
The G2 BUS is a powerful communication socket that is normally used for the Dreamcast dial-up modem, but was also used for the BBA and LAN adapters and the never released ZIP drive.

Protocol
The BUS had two modes, a simple slower mode called "Simple mode" which the dial-up modem used, and a faster more powerful mode that ran the extension at full clock speed (200Mhz).
